Market Research Sales - Client Services

Valient Solutions is seeking market research sales candidates for several of its vertical businesses. Due to the increasing demand to provide comprehensive research solutions for these industry segments, the firm has recently strengthened its distribution channel resources and marketing presence across the North American market. This expansion has generated a need to hire experienced sales and business development professionals to promote the firm's products and services within the numerous vertical segments.

Targeted sectors include healthcare, technology, telecommunications, travel, automotive, transportation, consumer packaged goods, industrial products, government, energy, financial services, education and media & entertainment industries.

These opportunities are only for experienced and proven sales achievers with 3+ years of market research sales experience. These full-time positions include a compensation package that rewards excellent sales performance with a scalable commission structure to provide an uncapped earning potential above six figures. This position reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer. Successful candidates are innovative, highly motivated individuals that are driven to achieve their sales goals and objectives. Candidates should have excellent management skills necessary to guide and direct potential channel partners and provide clear, accurate and timely reporting to senior management. The primary duties of this position are to sell market research services and syndicated research products and services to targeted companies while meeting and exceeding sales quotas and significantly expand the firm's footprint within these vertical sectors. This position is responsible for communicating with our current and prospective clients via telephone, e-mail and face-to-face meetings, generating sales through the development of long-lasting client relationships, achievement of mutually agreed upon annual sales targets, creation of customized PowerPoint sales presentations for each client opportunity, provide a high degree of attention to detail to each sales task and periodically travel to client locations.

Qualifications

Optimal candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Verifiable minimum of 5+ years in sales with 3+ years proven ability in market research sales experience within targeted vertical sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation and computer skills
  • Extensive base of market research contacts with proven track record of market research sales success.
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Previous professional services sales training (i.e. Miller Heiman, Sandler)
  • Experience using Saleforce.Com or other CRM system (i.e. ACT, Goldmine or Siebel)
Position Responsibilities
  • Generate maximum sales to meet/exceed quota objectives
  • Drive vertical sector growth and develop new sales channels for existing products and/or new market research services and syndicated products.
  • Manage key large accounts with high visibility, large revenue opportunities.
  • Support the generation of proposals and contracts to meet sales objectives
  • Provide customer service to maintain highest level of customer support, sales achievement, rapid problem resolution and drive customer loyalty.
  • Present accurate annual, quarterly and monthly sales & revenue forecasts within the assigned sector.
  • Build and expand current customer base to establish a substantial long-term customer base.
  • Perform competitive analysis to determine product positioning, sales method, optimal customer profile and channel positioning.
  • Experienced with Internet search tools to research prospective clients and new market opportunities.

  • Composition of detailed automotive market forecasts for vehicles, systems & components
  • Daily monitoring of automotive news and data sources
  • Daily publication of automotive competitive intelligence new digests
  • Creation of in-depth competitive intelligence profiles of vehicle manufacturers and suppliers
  • Database maintenance of OEM and supplier production locations worldwide
  • Database maintenance of OEM and supplier websites worldwide
  • Client briefings via conference call and face-to-face meetings
  • Data analysis, strategic recommendation and SWOT analysis

Qualified candidates should possess:
